Chevy has revealed the upcoming 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, which has been significantly refreshed for the new model year. Sporting a wide range of engine options, a new ZR2 trim, and tons of new features, the new Silverado 1500 is more versatile than ever.
The two most exciting additions to the upcoming Silverado 1500 are the ZR2 off-roading trim and available Super Cruise™ hands-free technology. The ZR2 trim adds a range of features to the Silverado 1500 like Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory® M/T tires, a standard 6.2-liter V8 engine, and a selectable Terrain Mode with one-pedal rock crawling.
Super Cruise™, on the other hand, is meant for the highway. Following maps of more than 200,000 miles of highways across North America and using sensing technology, Super Cruise™ controls the steering and speed — even when you have a trailer attached. You still have to keep your eyes on the road, but a long towing job on the highway has never been more relaxing.
Several trims will also get a fully redesigned interior, which includes a new instrument panel and center console. This new interior features a 13.4-inch color touchscreen and Google built-in, which provides easy access to Google apps like the Google Play Store and Google Maps. In addition to infotainment tech, the Silverado 1500 delivers tons of safety tech, including standard Chevy Safety Assist.
The new 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 arrives next spring, but you don’t have to wait to get a great truck. Golden Motors in Cut Off, Louisiana, has the 2021 Silverado 1500 and new 2022 Silverado 1500 LTD in stock and ready to test drive.
