Unsurprisingly, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has made quite an entrance. The updated track star debuts with a wider front and rear fascia and a 5.5-liter LT6 V8 that delivers 8,600 rpm for 670 horsepower. The all-new, naturally aspirated engine will have the highest horsepower on the market in any production car in history. Its lightweight materials and driver-focused features make for a stunning supercar experience.
Originally debuting in 1963, the Z06 is designed for 2022 with a reconfigurable rear spoiler with wickerbill elements that can be adjusted for stability. Plus, it will come standard with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged aluminum “spider” wheels which are the largest ever offered on a production Corvette.
With a shorter final drive ratio than the Corvette Stingray, the 2023 Z06 enhances acceleration capability with an eight-speed dual clutch transmission. The Z06 also features more carbon fiber in the trim around the cockpit, in available wheels, and in high rear wing and ground effects.
Per Steve Hill, the vice president of Chevrolet, “This new Z06 was designed and engineered to set a higher bar with increased levels of craftsmanship, personalization and performance so customers can truly have their own bespoke performance car.”
